In the beginning, the first catalyst

As a 13 year old I was extremely lucky to watch Pedro Rodriguez win the very wet BOAC 1000kms on April 12th 1970. It was that day that I decided I needed to own a Porsche 917! But not being a rock star or a hedge fund manager, originals were always out of reach. But I'm an automotive design engineer so have all the talents to reverse engineer an accurate homage, see the next 64 pages!
